HatersGonnaHate
Since I like the box I have currently for my two 10's, they play excellent on music and get plenty loud enough for me for daily, but comps are coming up and I want to build a box for a single 10", so I can swap out boxes for comps/daily. Just need some recommendations on what I should tune to and what volume I should shoot for. Specs: Sub: One 10" DC M1 Level 3 with Level 4 upgrade package. D2 coils Amp: Hifonics bxi1610 or Hifonics BRZ 1200 wired at 1ohm Going in the trunk of my 02 Civic. Thanks in advance everyone! miklgagne
if you have access to a tl, build a sealed box with a what is it q or qts of 1 or something like that. Find where it peaks. Then use a program to tune it to peak at that frequency. Aero ports for the win in spl I hear. And then build and test, build and test. Look forward to biulding a different box each week or so. HatersGonnaHate
I've got no access to a TL, the only time I get metered is when I go to shows so I don't have the ability to test and tune and see where I peak at and all that good stuff. What I'll most likely be doing though is building a small box, around 1-1.25 cubes, and have a removable port so I can just have different port lengths and adjust tuning that way. HatersGonnaHate
Anybody got any other suggestions? Tuned somewhere in the range of 45 to 55 good enough? Lower, higher? Just need a little bit of input so I know where to get started. HatersGonnaHate
Yea buddy lol, they are plenty loud for daily driving and just bumping around friends, but in this current setup, they're only pushing a 136 on the TL. I want to be "that guy" that gets 140+ on one 10 Trying to get on that ThorsHammer level! HatersGonnaHate
Yea, I've got big hopes and dreams, and if I can't hit it right away, that's alright, I'll just brush it off and get there eventually. And AMI CUSTOMS, if I had a TL that was local to me, it'd be a whole lot easier to find the peak and test and tune.... The nearest one is 4 hours away, so I'm not gonna build a box, drive 4 hours, test, turn around, drive 4 hours home, rip it out and start all over lol. AMI CUSTOMS
No shit that is why I said use 1/4 wave theory to figure out your peak in theory it is a great place to start when you don't have a TL. Works well for civics I have messed with in the past.
