SCS_Audio
wanna know what u guys use? Perfectly straight cuts!! Amen to that!! I LOVE my new Porter Cable table saw. It was worth the $550 price tag in the time it saves and how much easier it makes boxes to assemble. I'm suprised no one has made the obvious joke here. I usually use silicone, I read somewhere you arent supposed to use liquid nails, cant remember why. if i remember rite its sorta like rubber when it dries? i dont remember but thats what my mind is digging up It would be silicone that is like rubber when it dries, Liquid Nail is much harder when dry. SnowDrifter
I am a fan of doing the self leveling fiberglass resin 45s in the corners. Then doing 2-3 layers of glass over that. It's great for strength and has the added benefit of sealing the box. Gustavo Sandoval
So bottom line would using liquid nails be ok?
Jared420
So bottom line would using liquid nails be ok? Yeah liquid nails is fine. I personally prefer wood glue or wood glue and sawdust mixed. My current box is part wood part fiberglass so since I had the glass all ready for use after the box was complete I painted all the seams with resin for extra strength and to make sure it's sealed up. Hey Jared, My name is Jarred with 2 r's by the way lol. What wood glue do you use and how long does it take to completely cure? How long does it take that Tite Bond II to dry?
