for the money, you can do better man, also do you really want to rep a walmart brand? no

I didn't know walmart sold kicker, not sure if that was directed towards me but I usually order off their website. What other single 15" sub would you recommend? I really like the Kicker L7. I've only had systems for about 2 years considering I just got my license 2 years ago. My price range is about 350$ so i'm open for anything you got man.

I bought Kicker CVRs ONCE. The leads on the subs kept snapping of so I had to replace them with a different sub I had. They blew and I was feeding them half the rated power. For some people.. Kicker gets the job done. For me, fuck no

I just bought 2 kicker 12" CVR's and they both = 800 watt RMS and I had my amps gain on 0 and they would clip if I turned the volume up. My 2 kicker comp 12" can handle the dx1000.1 amp better than the CVR's.

your settings were probably fucked up then, or something else. it would make no sense whatsoever that a lower series woofer would be able to handle more power than a higher series woofer.

I don't know I got rid of them cause I want something louder. I made sure the wire and everything was correct has my dad run over it even. There gone so I'm not worried about it. Time to move onto bigger and better.

bass boost was probably on. or some sort of EQ was activated. or volume was too high. or a combination of things.

Settings must of been incorrect cuz ive had the L7 15's and had 2 planet audio bb2400.1's pushin 2 subs with no problem. Had them since 09 and never had any problems wit da subs. Just sold them a month ago to order 4 Obsidian Audio 18's.

Damn, lots of Kicker bashing in here. I had L5's roughly 5 years ago, 2 10" L5's being powered by a ZX300.1 @ .5 ohm with gain/bass boost turned all the way up. Why? Because the subs took it fine and the amp took it fine. They are still being used by a friend and are in perfect working condition to this day. Oh, and they were in prefab boxes.

But to the OP, buy what YOU want to buy. Besides, it is your ride, not theirs. Try to build your own enclosure also, if you're not good at wood work, get somebody that is to help you, and take your time, and enjoy yourself while doing it.

Finally a kicker fan.
