jessdabest77 Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 I'm building a box 5.5 cf after all displacement's,tuned around 34 hz,for a single 18,and wondering if 4-4" round port's will play louder in this box than 3-4" round port's?I;m tapped out in fund's,so ,getting other size port's is out the question,so I'd like to use what I have already, and thank you for advice.

fecupe2001 Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 what sub? 3 4" ports is way too small if you ask me, 4 4" ports would be the smallest port area i would go for a single 18" sub, and i´m sure it´s still small port area, but like i said, depends on a few factors such as power, sub, car, etc etc I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Panamenian 2009 & 2010 & 2014 Bass Race 149.9 Champion! 2 15" subs and a 2K wired at 1 ohm, http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167788-fecupe2001-2-15s-on-a-2k-video-on-page-3/ 8 Massive 15" subs and small power, http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179296-fecupe2001s-8-15s-4th-order-bandpass-wall/
