b-dubs89 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 not exact on this but my hunch is that an enclosure can be a factor in how easy a sub will clip . the 9 volt pop test does work for determining polarity . i have done that before . i would double check all wiring and check ohms with a volt meter . i hear the dd-1 dose circles around a oscope but i still went for the oscope because i figured it would be useful for more than just car audio . i was looking for a used scope on smd but but a new scope before the guy messaged me , but there might be someone here with a vellemen scope for $100 if you get a scope you have to find a test cd with sinewave test tones of various frequencies Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
