Down the road when I have a better paying job I am definitely saving money and going all out on a really nice system. For now, I'm going to play around and discover what is out there. Everyone has a beginning point. ^very good idea. It's cheaper to start out small when you're inexperienced. if you go all out you can make some pretty costly mistakes. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.

Exactly why I'm taking baby steps right now. I've rushed into a system before and regretted it, but I won't this time. I really like these Fi's thought they seem really nice. Hopefully they can handle my DX1000.1

But why does everyone look down on Kicker? I've had their amps and sub woofers for awhile and I like them for the most part. I could see if it was like power acoustik or BOSS. But Kicker isn't THAT bad of a brand.

They're just really expensive for what you get. especially their subs. Their amps are power hungry, but tough as hell. I had a zx 2500.1 survive a car wash with the trunk ajar. I just took it out and let it dry for a couple days and it was fine. I just wished they offered recones for their subs, or at least have more standardized coil sizes. no more of this 2.55 inch bs lol Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. I do know for a fact that the markup on the amps is kinda big, although i have nothing to compare it to. like the zx2500 goes for about 900 you said? I used to work at BBY and we had an accommodations program where we got DEEP discounts straight from kicker. like at or slightly above cost. that very same ZX2500 was about 370 plus shipping with the accommodation. you could get a 15" l7 from them for around $120 plus ship. so yeah. i can't hate them for having the high markup though. It's an impressive feat to have a markup like that and still have the market still in your bandwagon Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.
