dl9890 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 I've been looking to upgrade my current system. I just recently bough a DX1000.1 Kicker mono d block amp(Keeping that). Now i'm looking to replace my 12" kicker comps. I was looking to buy 1 15" and I wanted some help on which one I should buy. I've been looking at a L7 but I've heard many different thoughts on them so it's kinda iffy. Any input would be helpful. It's a 2000 jeep grand cherokee. Limit around 400 - 500 $
Crandis16 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 do you have a budget? Edit: is it the 2010 or 2011 model? is it 1000wrms @ 1ohm or 2ohms My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL

Jordan Guess Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Whats your budget? Sky is the limit here, so you gotta narrow it down. And is that the only amp you will be using? What kind of space are you working with?
AAKSOKOLD Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 If you're planning on getting an L7, might as well get an American Bass XFL 15 Me & My DJ*!
Crandis16 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 I think you might be able to pull off a DC lvl 3 15". They're rated at 900wrms My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
dl9890 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Report Posted August 1, 2012 do you have a budget? Edit: is it the 2010 or 2011 model? is it 1000wrms @ 1ohm or 2ohms It's the 2011 model only 2 and 4 ohm stable. 2 ohm = 1,000 4 = 550; and around 500$ would be okay. Maybe a lil less.
TeamHT Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Definitely want to have a budget, so many options with 1,000 watts. I would see if you have a local AA dealer. Space also might be good to know. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
Jordan Guess Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 shoot with $500 to spend on one 15" you might wanna upgrade your power? Idk thats just me though, a $500 sub spent well will usually beg for more than 1000 watts at 2 ohms edit: not saying that you have to blow your whole budget but still.
TeamHT Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Grab two AA Assassins Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
