orion hcca 15.4 system help!!

i just bought a hcca 15.4. i need help with the size of the enclosure, what amp would best work, and anything else that would help me get the most out of the sub. i drive a 97 2 door cavalier. so i have to build a custom box to fit in my trunk. the trunk is roughly 32"W, 24"L, 18"T. i could build a box to fit but i know if i got the right dimensions for a box it would sound better. i also don't know what amp i should get. i was thinking a rockford t1500. i don't need a super loud system so i figured it would probably work. anything else that would help me out would be much appreciated.

you can do it for sure. you have a total of 8 cubes to work it.

I would suggest 3.25-4cubes volume for that sub you selected. I think that amp would be fine but the sub won't see it's full potential. ported or sealed?

If you don't want a super loud system then I think you'll be surprised at how loud your setup will be.

i think an http://www.audioque.com/AQ2200D-Amplifier_p_31.html would be a good pick for that sub. and around the same price as a T1500.1 but more power

Here is a suggestion for the box on rated power:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 34 Hz

Vb = 3.65 ft^3

External Height = 17 in

External Width = 32 in

External Depth = 21.5 in

Port Width = 4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 32 x 17

Left & Right Sides = 19 1/4 x 15 1/2

Top & Bottom = 32 x 19 1/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 15 1/4 x 15 1/2

Extension = 9 x 15 1/2

i'm planning on making the box ported. i think it'll sound better. i have 4 gauge wire ran in my car right now. should i go to 0 gauge? would my single battery be enough? i've never dealt with anything with this much power involved. so i really appreciate the help.

if i was you, i would get some 0 gauge, and the biggest XS battery you can afford..

and i mean some good 0 gauge, not some cheap stuff..

alright well i plan on getting the RF T1500. it calls for 4 gauge wire. how should i go about running the 0 gauge if i go that route? run it into the 4 or straight to the amp?

and go to a local hardware store and get some smaller machine screws so the negative and positive adapter screws do not touch.. that's what i did..
