capacitor questions???

anybody heard of a capacitor clicking??? i was recently installing a cap and doing the big 3... after the big 3 was done we went back to the trunk to hook up the cap, after trying to charge it it went to 11. somethin volts and would drop while trying to charge it, then it made a couple clicks... click click click, any ideas??? im thinkin the cap is just junk....needless to say i have another, just curious if anyones experienced the same thing?

yes/no, I just know a dented cap is a useless one in an occasion like this lol. Basically, the capacitive plates inside the outer layer are so close now from the dent, that it sounds like you're arcing from one plate to the other. Toss it in the trash and don't buy another, if you need a little more power, just get a small batt like the kinetic HC600 or whatever the equivalent XS power batt is, can't remember off the top of my head.
