Cheap 300-500w home audio amp?

Recommended Posts

they probably have a car battery hooked up to a trickle charger. or they bypass the amps alltogether. i've never tried messing with the gains on them before... i might try that tomorrow.

or just a bunch of 12v power supplys made for that exact application. I seriously doubt it best buy would use a battery on a charger. OP you bestbet for clean power would be a plate amp or 2

It's possible, but I have a feeling they have an amp to power the subs behind the wall, rather than the ones displayed. They allow you to switch between amps, yet output from the subs seems to remain the same. I'll have to test this theory though.

but yeah one or two plate amps depending on what your VC config is. most plate amps are 4 ohm stable, one set of leads.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

plate amp from parts express or a rackmount pa or commercial amp. or look for a subwoofer amp made for home audio , i have seen a few of these but they are not very common the majority of home audio sub amps i have found have been on fee-bay . i have heard good things about crown amps and qsc amps as well . i am still kind of surprised at how there really aren't any dedicated sub amps for home audio use .

In plate amps they do. Just have a little fan dedicated to one. they got hot QUICK. i got a 250 watt dayton plate amp, got pretty toasty after like 2 minutes of playtime.
