The highest I can build in the factory housings is about 170 amps. It would be $365 and I have free shipping in the lower 48.

Message : whats up guys at EA!

i've done my shopping at all the other major alt shops (dc, mechman, singer) and i thought i'd hit EA up after hearing GREAT things about the company.

so heres my request:

2009 honda civic EX R18A engine.

i need to know the price and biggest and baddest alt i can fit on the stock OEM bracket while maintaining no gauge battery light and maintaining no belt slip.

car idles at around 650rpm and idle amps are a must!

thanks

Wtf none of anyone's answers are constant...

I asked and talked with Nate multiply times before and after I got my alt and I'm positive mine is 225a

When did you buy your alt? He may not make it anymore?

My car is a 06 civic LX sedan r18

I've got mine around Early Devember of 2011

Hmmmm that makes no sense, why is Nate not a member on the forums I would really love his input on this matter right now. Honestly I think Sheena is sold on DC so I doubt he will change his mind it will be good to see someone give the 270 a chance and it appears he doesn't mind being our guinea pig. Atleast it will answer a lot of questions in the end.

really? i wouldn't think are alts would be that different. I may ask him about that because I don't see why he wouldn't be able to do the 280amp for the r18 too?

i dont know why any of these companies dont list their FULL LINE of alternators to possible customers.

especially when in the email i say i need over 200 amps... and he says 175.. i was like lol ok.

Hello Cody

The upgraded unit that I offer for your vehicle is a 185A. This alternator is a direct bolt on design for your vehicle and would be plug and play (the factory plug would go into it like the OEM unit) This alternator includes my overdrive pulley to boost the idle output (this will spin the alternator faster at low RPMS to boost idle output by around 30 to 40A more (120-130A idle @ 800rpms). The total price on this unit shipped w/ my lifetime warranty on labor is 419.

Comment / Question:

I would like to know all the sizes of alts that can fit on the OEM mounting

holes (without modifications) that are OVER 200 amps.

my car also idles at around 650 so it would need to make roughly 150 amps @

650 rpm @14.4 volts.
