Thinkin bout adding a cap to the daily driver one 15" I just need to know exact details on how to properly add a used capacitor.

Skip the cap. Buy a small batt.

BUT if you had to, wire it in parallel as in positive to positive, negative to negative.

Just run it in between your battery/distribution block and the amp. I've never had one though because they are pointless in most systems. You yourself probably don't need one but whatever floats your boat.

Consider this: 1 farad can be translated into one amp second. If your amp draws say 50 amps on average full volume, and you have a 5 farad capacitor - the cap is drained in 1/10th of a second. That's faster than the human eye can blink, which takes about 1/3 second.

Thought about a battery too but the cap was free so, i have heard people say you have to charge them before use how is this done?

just cause its free, doesn't mean it will work well. 1 farads are basically trash. same with like 5 farads.

On most threads there's on love for caps. People will tell you Battery and more Batterys and more wire more wire. No cap. Just sayin sir.
