Do you secure the box down while you're driving normally? Backseat boxes are dangerous :(

I'd honestly scrap the box, start fresh and have your guy pay attention first before letting a saw hit the first piece of MDF. Hell, post the dimensions he comes up with for the second box and we can double check them quickly next time.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

he just told me the box was 3.22 cubes and the port is " 15x3.5x23.75 " those were his measurements..his calc says 38hz, he says he uses something thats like 5 years old.. lol even better. but no i dont strap the box down yet.. i didnt even think of the danger of having aloose box behind me.. ill strap that thing down pronto!

Lose box no good. Mom drove my car before I got to bolting my box down. Somebody pissed her off so she down shifted and got on it forgetting about my box. Luckily the roof caught it while it was flipping back. Or else id be out of amps and batts

Even with the 3.5" opening, when the port goes to make its turn parallel to the back side of the box each side has to change width to HALF that which would be 1.75" on each side.

im like 99% sure it does reduce to half in the rear, he has the screws up top and it looks to me as if it is 1.75" on each side. so that's good? lol
