I'd have to know external dims of the box, and EXACTLY if that port is halved in the back or not. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Well there is a problem here, you said earlier that the port section went back INTO the box 11.25 inches. The depth of the box is 15.5 inches. When you take into account the 3/4 would used that leaves you with voila=3.5 inches on port width at the back of the box. 15.5-11.25=4.25 4.25-.75=3.5 Your port on the back wall is either A) Not halved, or you measured wrong. Either way as previously said, scrap the box, build another one correctly this time. Those subs should sound pretty amazing in the right enclosure. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Right now you're asking them to play around 50 Hz tuning frequency. They'll like a box that is mid 30s tuned I can promise you. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I'm sure they would be impressive, just i have 2 15" RE SX woofers sitting in my room too. i have to decide which pair to keep.. i only paid 200$ for the 2 type R's. either i can keep the small setup or lose a backseat again. lol Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. CleanSierra Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 I'm convinced you'd be thoroughly impressed with the right box on those Type Rs. I'm no alpine nuthugger by any means, but those Type Rs are some solid good sounding subs. I've got the CHEAPEST Crossfire 10s in a box in my regular cab GMC. They are low power handling, so output isn't crazy, but the box makes em shine. I'm tuned to 33 and these little 10s murder the lows on really low power. Ask 412, enclosure is everything. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
