Quick wiring question..

From my D4 alpine type r, Both positive wires run from the sub and meet at the same single bolt terminal inside the box, and same with the negatives, but to their own single bolt terminal. From the outside, one wire runs for each terminal (one pos, one neg) to the amp

Is this an acceptable way to wire my single D4 type R to 2 ohms at my amp? Or do I have to wire the terminals together at the sub?

If you connect the coils among themselves you will have a neater install but unless the gauge of the wires is inappropriate I don't think there will be a big difference.
