2011 Chevrolet "Mayhem"

New to the forums. Here is my 2011 Chevrolet Aveo install. Nothing too fancy, soon to upgrade.Install Consists of:Eclipse CD3200 Head unitHifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D(2)Alpine Type-R 10's ([email protected]Ω)Sealed box, that's on the small side.Lemme know what you think.P.S.- Please excuse my mess. The amp, rear hatch, and subs were dirty by the time I finished this install. They've been cleaned.Pic 4 also shows 1 VC connected; 1 coil is shorted, so until I recone it, that's all she's got.

Update: I looked back through the pics I posted, and realized that they didn't really do the setup justice.

I built this into the back of my daily driver. The amp and enclosure are mounted to a sheet of mdf custom fit to the hatch. If I ever needed to, I can still access the spare tire. I simply roll the rear seats forward, and the whole setup pushes forward like a shelf or drawer.

As they've said, I like that sliding idea. I was contemplating just removing my spare altogether, but left it in. Looks good though.

I am going to build a ported, but can't do it right now. I herniated a disc in my back at the end of April, still under dr's orders. I have a crap load of MDF though.

Honestly, I'm hoping to switch out the stereo to a 15, beginning of next year. So, I may just hold off. Possibly build a box to throw these in my truck, idk just yet.

I know that the box they're in now is choking the system. IIRC, the airspace is a/b .7ft³ each sub. The box rise is probably also what is saving the subs from the power. A win-win for the time being, I suppose.

I like the setup, nice, clean, and out of the way. What OHM load you running on the amp, with one one VC on one speaker and 2 VC hooked up on the other?

Thanks. I have the sub wired at ~1.6Ohm.

One wired down to two ohms, the other ~3.9. ~1.6Ohm at the amp.
