1st custom audio build

Hey guys whats up? My name is Joe i drive an 04 dodge ram 1500 hemi with a 6'' lift and 37's. It is a reg cab in which i am going to be starting my 1st ever custom audio build. So Stay tuned over the next few months as i begin my first audio build. Some specs sofar will be a custom fitted fiberglass box housing two 10's, 2 amps, lights and plexi will also be used for a one off custom box. My ultimate goal is for high quality/performance/crispness. I dont want shitty sounding base or staticy speakers.

Ok so i started breaking down the interior today. I didnt get as far as i would have like cause i didnt have a torx bit big enough to take of the seatbelts. So i got the back tray out any tomorrow after i get some torx sockets i will have the back wall off also. as for the speakers in the back panel they will be moved up to the corner of the cab along with some tweeters.

heres what i have to work with for space. these are with the seats all the way back and resting on the back of the cab.

ok so i got my speaker rings in today. i also got some torx sockets so i could remore the seatblets to get the side panels off. I also took off the back wall. Looking back now i probly could have take it off by just removing the 1 torx screw behind each of the 3 hooks, instead of pulling off the side panel. I would have started cutting and fitting mdf but it was to damn hot.

ok so i have been making some good progress on the box. Today i got the base cut and fit and also started the back wall. Around the seabelt for the middle seat i cut and recessed the bezel in place.

ok so today i picked up some fleece. it was on sale so i got a bunch extra. I also got the back wall all fitted and only have a couple supports to cut for the center. After that i have to mount the sub rings then i can start streching the fleece and fiberglassing it. I also got some measurements of the inside of the what will be the subbox. it looks like i will have a little over 1 cubic ft of air space. Is this enough or to much? What about polyfill? Do i need it will it give it better sound(harder hitting)?

ok so i got all the pieces out and started putting them together tonight.

i have room in the back of my truck again.lol

bear with me i started this a few weeks ago and am just transefering everything here.

I have some questions on the speakers im gonna be using. I want to add a set of component speakers to the kick panels. That would be a total of 6 speakers and 6 tweeters. Is that to much? Should i get ride of the ones in the door and use the kick panel instead? Also where the back speakers are the subbox is going to cover it. I am going to be moving them to the top above the seatbelt. Do i need a box for this? or can i mount them in free space?

so today i got the rings mounted and a top put on to make sure everything was even. I also got all the seams caulked and ready for fleece. So for shits and giggles i threw the fleece over it to get a feel for what it will look like.

for what its woth, I would acctualy recomend to use only one sub. This gives you room to do a nice amp rack, and if you want, you can mount your crrossovers there as well. Also, make sure to round over the edges of the wood where the fleece meets it. If you dont you will end up with a hard edge and it will look goofy. As far as using kick panels, good idea. I would recomend to use Q-forms. Do the midrange and maybe a titanium tweet in the kick, and a midbass in the doors.then to help bring the hight up to where it should be, IF you don'e achieve it from the kicks, add a silk tweet parralell the other and put it in the bash get a decent 5 channel amp. If you got a three way component set, you can run the fronts, rears, and sub oof one amp. If you need more input or help pm me, I'll help you out as much as I can. good luck.
