Need box help HDC3 12

Recommended Posts

I need some help on a box I'm working on for a single AQ HDC3 12. I have a mac so I cant download Torres but I've been going between bcae1.com box calculator and the re audio box calculator. Both have me relatively lost so basically I need some help figuring out tuning. The box's dimensions are 30" wide, 16" deep and 13.5" high. I don't really know all the technical terms, so bare with me please. The first port wall (the one that is connected to the baffle or the front or whatever you call it) is 10" long and is 5" away from the side of the box, then the next wall making the L is 15" long. I hope that makes sense. I need someone to help me out with what my frequency is and what determines making the frequency higher or lower? I hope I can get some help

Not to be a dick, but you probably should've been asking this before you cut out the pieces.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

Yeah...at this point I'm probably going to have to go back to the drawing board. So if I were to start over what should my dimensions look like? I heard from audioque that the 12" does well in a 2.2 cubic foot box, but I also heard from people that have it that it does well in a 3 cubic foot box. So I'm basically lost overall. Still really new to all this car audio stuff.

kinda depends on how much power you're giving it.
