I need recommendations on what usually works best for hatch back vehicles, im about to design a simple box for a friend and wanted to check on here first as to what people used to get the best performance. sub up, port up? sub back, port back? sub up, port back? port up, sub back? or any forward positions. this is for 2 10's in the trunk of a 88 honda civic hatchback dx

what everyone else said. I'm pretty sure last thread I saw like this someone said "attach the box to the back of the seat so you can have up forward port forward when it's down and sub up port up when it's up" LMAO....

but yea sub up port back.

Why tune so low??

You're running 2 10's. Not 4 18's.

right on, is 1 cu ft each for 2 alpine type r 10's tuned to 31 hz a good place to start as far as box goes for that car? These are the subs available to me at the moment.

1.2-1.5 cubes per sub. 33Hz at least I'd say.
