Upgrade suggestions?

Oh now I get it. I wasn't talking out the port. Is the box john253a built good then?

I like my boxes in the high 20's low 30's

There not as loud as say a high 30's

But if you box is at 35 now a bigger box on a higher tune will still get as low,

If you want loud then 37hz will do that

If you want sq then 28-30hz

If build daily boxes for theise up to 42hz

But my opinoin is over 37 you lose to much low end

In the end it's you box amd needs to suit your need and music type,

I listen to alot of rap so i'll prolly just stick to 35 hz cuz i just want it loud. I love your design except i'll prolly have the port vertical instead of horizontal

A 5x24" = 120sq"

To run the other way you port need to be 5.25x22.75

36w - 1.5" side wall and 6" for port leaves you with 28.5"

So you subs will have to be staggered in the box,

Also 35hz in your current box will go just a low as 37 in a bigger box

But I can redo with a lower tune if you want

Why would the subs have to be staggered if staggered? I'lll have the subs facing out and the sub will fire out towards the hatch

I meant subs facing up. So subs firing towards my roof. The port will be just like the one in my profile picture. firing to the back hatch

Here are my maximum dimensions. I can go 37 wide thats right on the wheels wells would prolly have about a 1/4" on each side. I would go 25 deep. Gives me about 7 1/2 inches to the back hatch. 24 high gives about a foot to the roof. Any idea's for a box. Prolly just gonna stick with 35hz and I want it to be very loud but i want to be able to listen to music not just do burps
