budah93 Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 I am currently running 2 sundown sa15s. I am wanting to upgrade so something louder. These no longer hurt my ears haha. I'm looking for something around 800 give or take rms for each sub. Any suggestions??
Joe X Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 Maybe is not the subs but the install that didn't cut it, those actually take the 800 RMS each!!
ToNasty Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 What amp are.you.running? And the box makes all the differance ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
budah93 Posted August 23, 2012 Author Report Posted August 23, 2012 I know they "take" 800 rms but they are rated at 600. They get loud, box is good, amp is good. I simply just want louder. i was thinking of checking into lvl 3's or getting some sundown zs

budah93 Posted August 23, 2012 Author Report Posted August 23, 2012 what info do you want it's all up there? they are in a 6.9 cubes box. tuned to 35hz. max dimensions are 36 width x 25 depth x 22 height
Chris Hammer Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 More power. Bigger box more power.. You arent gonna benefit just from getting subs that have a higher rms rating if you stay with the same power..you might acutally lose some output. Those sa's can take 1K rms all day and even more if you dont clip them. Edit : Forget my suggestion The Sa's can take 800 they can take over 1K every day. I did it on my SA-12 and gave it 1100-1200rms for hours everyday. Get a better amp. It took you three posts to scratch the surface on what this forum needs to know to give you an effective opinion. My 2-15's dont slam hard enough on my hifonics overrated amp is hardly enough info.
