Power Supply Wiring

Recommended Posts

I have a NES-350-12 regulated switching power supply, and am kind of confused on how to wire it up. Mainly the N and L.

It has V+, V-, Ground, N, and L

can anyone explain what to do with each input? (never used a psu or dealt with home electrical.)

V+ =

V- =

Ground =

N =

L =

L = Black (Hot) wire from your home electrical.

N = Neutral (White) wire from your home electrical.

G = Ground (Green) wire from your home electrical.

V- = DC negative output

V+ = DC positive output

Assuming you have an AC extension cord that you'll connect to the PSU which plugs into a wall outlet?

Regardless, when connecting the L and N wires, make sure any AC power is tripped beforehand.

Once all is connected, make sure to protect the connection strip as live AC voltage is somewhat exposed on these supplies.

Make sure nothing can get in and touch/short the connections.

Out of curiosity, what are you powering with it?

I've dealt a lot with meanwell PSU's at work. Handy little supplies for the money.
