srool Posted August 26, 2012 Report Share Posted August 26, 2012 Hey, Can someone tell me the recommended sealed side for 10" XL in 4th order bandpass ? The level 2 sealed recommendation is 0.5 CF and the level 4 is 0.75. I was wondering if I can mount it in a 0.5 or something bigger is needed ? BTW, just finished several days ago a 4th order box for 2 level 2 10" and it has lows like hell, you cant tell theses are 10's nor just 500W each! Another great product from DC Audio ! srool Posted August 26, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2012 I figure the ratio apropriately to what I want to achieve, but the volume itself is unknown for me (as it doesnt have sealed option in the website). I've seen people like mike singer that build 4th orders for XL even though it doesnt have a sealed recommendation. so I wonder why doesn't it like 4th orders. srool Posted August 26, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2012 0.8 for the 10" after displacement ? not sure I'll have the room for this since I'm talking about a pair. Have I had the room for this I would have gone on 12's. The amp is 5.0K for the pair of 10" XL's, and after trying 1:2.5 and 1:1.25 on the lvl2 10's I really like the low ratio, But maybe I'll try the higher again and see the differences.
