Tim Lam
so i've just been toying with ideas in my head and i think im going to settle on some Sowndown SA-15's my max width is 40" maybe 42" but thats pushing it. so with that said, i was think of facing the subs into the cabin and having the port on the opposite firing towards the trunk. and i will not be sealing off my trunk at this point. how would this perform? will i get cancellation? how would it compare to the subs firing towards the trunk along with the port? SlamminSL1
Good question. I'm no pro but I think you will be fine. Why do you want to run them like that though? Tim Lam
okay great. and SlamminSL1. since i was thinking about 2 15" subs, and only having a maximum width of 40", and possibly a 6 or 8" aero, the front baffle would get pretty crowded and cut thin. so that way if the port was on the opposing side of the box, the front baffle would 1 less hole in it haha, especially since i dont want to double baffle. but i was just wondering if moving around the location of the port would effect air travel and cause inconsistencies or types of cancellation. Face palm where do you get these ideas? Double baffle is a must imo...... countersink aswell! If you double baffled you would be able to do 8" areo and 2 15s.... or at least 2 6" areos and 2 15s..... that is your best option without doing testing(testing = buy a tl or build numerous boxes) SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/
