Three years ago I decided to join with my father`s business and focus on car audio. We have been doing small scale and simple projects for customers. This is our first Demo car build as we are the Distributors for DC Audio, Mechman, SHOK Industries products in our country. It was setup by myself, my father and our assistant using scrap mdf and materials from the shop, so its nothing big. The Idea is to keep it simple, effective and attractive. Dont have pictures of stage 1 build log but stage 2 will definitely have one. Upgraded Factory battery Additional two 40 ah standard battery Mechman 320A Universal Alternator Big 3 upgrade using Kicker and SHOK Industries wires Neoglow 4 AWG Power wires Power Acoustik Headunit Kicker KQ9 EQ Kicker RS65.2 front components speakers DLS CA23 amplifier for the front speakers DLS 426 trunk coaxials DLS 428 trunk coaxials DLS CA23 amplifier for the trunk speakers DC Audio Level 4 dual subs DLS CAD11 amps strapped for over 2000W RMS power Custom enclosure 6cuft net ported to 32hz Several brands of Dampening materials used Initial setup with Solo X 12 - Teaser and test setup until DC arrived - 143db @ 32 hz - Sealed on dash! Stage one upgraded with Dual DC Level 4 Mechman 320A alternator installed! L7 vs DC Level 4 The setup More details to come soon, need your suggestion and advice to move to level 2 which makes this project a complete demo car! Objectives 1) Demo car for the shop to show car our capabilities 2) Ground pounder / street bass cabilities 3) Good sound quality inside and outside 4) Multimedia capabilities inside and outside Next consideration 1) Upgrading to 4KW, probably DC Audio 2Ks strapped 2) Improve trunk, roof and door dampening 3) Front door speakers to be upgraded 4) Trunk speakers to be reconsidered - Need help here 5) 2 channel amplifiers to be replaced with 4 channel ones 6) Improvement in design related to fiberglass and plexiglass touches. 7) Custom interior and lighting. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.
general_neo Posted August 28, 2012 Author Report Posted August 28, 2012 Need help to move ahead guys! Do you think pushing the setup to 4000W RMS is okay? So the subs would be seeing 2000W RMS Per sub! These are DC level 4 rated at 1400W RMS I am thinking of replacing those DLS rear coaxials! I was more loudness, but I dont want to install pro audio speakers as SQ is important? Any options here? There is an issue in this setup. As you can see, I have mentioned its ported enclosure, the port is actually opening inside the car. So when opening and playing the low bass is not felt right next to the car, you have to move back to feel the bass.
