RF power 1000.1 bass knob..........is it a boost or a gain?

im reading the manual for the amp and its saying its a bass boost from 0 to +18db at 45hz. i have no clue what that means.

when i installed and and bass knob or gain or whatever the hell it is i set gain to 0 and the know to full and then slowly raised the gained. its sitting at 5 at the moment (gain) but i havent turned the knob passed maybe halfway on any song or type of music.

but when i turn the know to 0 i still have a tremendous amount of bass. especially if its a decaf know. ive always know when you turn bass knob to 0 it cut of all bass. and mine doesnt do it at all. so am i doing something wrong or is this knob effed up.

It's a 1 band equalizer, not a gain knob

so what do i need to do to make it a true bass knob..................and at the moment is it point less to use?

A Pac-lc1 never hurts, all it does is control voltage just like if you were to use the subwoofer setting on a headunit.

you can't turn that into a sub level knob. you will need either one of those RCA level controllers or some sort of processor with a sub level control. (or a head unit with sub level control)

Bass boost is not good for your equipment unless you're using it to fill a certain frequency to even out your response (SQ).

You on the other should throw that knob in the garbage and pick up an LC-1.

Yes, they are incredibly cheap on amazon and when all the way down will completely diminish the bass.
