Raptorman Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 I'll be working at an engineering firm about 20 minutes from my house. Called Symmetric Group Engineering. They house and maintain the servers for the big businesses in our area such as LensCrafters, and hundreds of medical offices, etc. I'll be repairing/building PC's and getting them ready for shipment, and maintaining/building the servers. Also will be giving over-the-phone tech support for our clients and driving out to them if they need urgent help. Typically to work here you'd need some sort of college degree in the field, but my mom has known the owner since her childhood and he's seen how good I am with computers and whatnot. Must say though, I think this is a damned good first job. And it's not too bad for the time, I'm starting my schedule with Monday Wednesday Fridays from 1-5pm.
