Sub enclosure help

This is my first box build. I wanted to get that out of the way first. I've always been interested in car audio but just starting to get serious about it. That being said, I have a pair of 12 in. Kicker cvx's and I want to build a better box. I understand that these are not the greatest subs in the world and might not be worth the effort but Im doing it anyways. Hopefully through trial and error with this box, my next

build (2 sa-12's) will go alot smoother.

So after 4 hours of playing with the torres box builder and mocking up the boxes out of cardboard boxes to make sue it would fit in my amazingly small trunk, this is what I came up with. Can you please check my numbers and let me know if I am even close.

Anybody? Did I leave out some vital piece of information? There has to be an ever so elusive "box guru" willing to check my numbers. Its a 2 12 middle port box if that helps.

I'm not the smartest about boxes, I'm just curious. What version of Torres do you have?

I've owned the CVX's. sold them to a buddy who got the exact same amp. They hardly move on the power. you're gonna want at least 4 cubes net. port area is good. but trust me on the size, they'll come alive in a bigger box.

in fact, the box we built was VERY close to the dimensions you're using. i've actually got a sketchup and a build log of that box if you click the second link in my signature, you can see it.

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

How long till you plane on getting the sa12

Because you could build a box for them and just run the kickers in that box,

Or If you want the practice build 2 boxes,

But me idd just build a box the sa12 and run the kickers that,

It looks alright for the SA 12's although on that power, a bigger box wouldn't hurt.

You have a number in the "desired gross volume" box, when you do that it negates the dimensions you type in above. I'm not going to do the math to see if they match but take that number out just to be safe..

These are all the same dimension you put in, seems you may want to tweak your box a bit. Port area is a bit low.

edit : do the cvx's actually displace .6cuft, those must be hella big motors. I used the sa-12 displacement in that box. I think the subs are similar.
