Do subs need to warm up?

Serious noob question here....

I was on my way home from school today and listening to the new Diamond in the Mudd album:D. I wasn't really cranking it too loud, but it was a 30 minute drive. I got home then immediately went over to a friends house after I changed clothes and what not. On my way over I was pretty much playing my sealed shallow mounts wide the hell open on a song that really made them sing (4 minute drive). I've never had my mirror vibrate out of alignment until that ride. I got there and was going to show him about 2 hours later. Cranked it up and I couldn't get that mirror to do more than shake a little and it was noticeable quieter. WTF?

The truck was on and charging a steady 14.3v with the lowest dropping to 13.7v and I didn't touch any settings besides the volume.

I assume you were at the same volume right? lol..

Subs need to warm up if they are in a very cold environment, but you don't have that problem in florida. Seeing as your voltage was on point, your guess is as good as mine man.

New build coming soon..

Yep volume was at 36 both times, windows were down with doors closed both times. Temp may have changed 2-4 degrees and it's 90 here today.

well it might be possible they need to warm up,

but before you look into that, make sure the configuration of the car is the exact same.

like if you have a door open or both front windows down, you might gain a db or two from that.

so try to remember how the windows/doors were set up when you were slamming that bitch

and try to recreate!

It was exactly the same. Nothing at all changed whatsoever. It's a single cab truck just 2 doors and 2 windows. Both doors shut, both windows down. It was a big difference for no change.
