trouble finding an amp

this is the subwoofer im getting, it says dual 4-ohm and the pictures show 1 and 4 ohm jacks, does that mean the 1 is actually 2 and the 4 is actually an 8?

do you look for amps based on RMS or peak power? the one i linked matches the rms power at 2 ohms and says its max power is also 2000w so it sounds perfect but im not sure if im missing something

on a side note: what ported enclosure dimensions would be good for the sub?

the amp does 1000w at 2 ohm, 500w at 4 ohm, 2000w at 1 ohm it says

The sub is a D4 and you can only wire it to either 2 ohms or 8 ohms and you will need an amp capable @2 ohms for that sub.

If you can afford this amp it would be a far better option than the one you listed as this one is capable of 1k @2 ohms which your looking for and the quality of the build will far exceed the crunch's.

ohhh good catch ill look into the alpine, its double the power for less than double the price so i would think its worth it
