Semper
I know fuck all when it comes to designing enclosures, as this will be my first to be entirely honest. I tried to match the width of the port with the depth, but it still says that my port bends. I was hoping for a little enlightenment as to if this design is sufficient. They call for 3.75 per sub, so this is the closest I could come up with. Idk, I'm confused and I have to leave for work. Just let me know if I did something wrong, or if this is pretty solid. Any advice ( other than "if you have to ask, dont do it", also I call inb4 ). I'll check this thread freq off kindle. Thanks. New Setup; H/U; Pioneer DEH-80prs. Wiring; 2 runs of 2/0 OFC & Big 3. RAM_Designs
Port area is too small, and I'd double layer the entire box if you can(or brace very well with a single layered box). If those are your max dimensions, then you just don't have the room to do a proper box for them, but whatever you can fit in there will obviously still make noise...just not optimal. You could up the tuning a little to get some more port area. RAM_Designs
Also, I don't see how the program is getting 2.58ft^3 for port displacement...maybe you have the form filled out wrong or something? Because a 32.5"x4" port, so figure 32.5"x4.75" for displacement purposes, will need to be 29" long to get to that much displacement volume. Jessica
You are getting port bends because the port is closer than 4" to the back of the box at that length. Your box is 22" deep, subtact .75 for the back wall and that gives you 21.25" for your port. Your port is 18" long and 4" wide. so 18+4=22 which makes it have to have a bend in it, Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside.
