bigtrav101 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 So I just got my T2500-1 and it is going on 4 MTX TS8512-44s. The amp puts out 3500 watts @ 2ohms rms. All going in a 1972 Cutlass Supreme. My question is what can I do ,if anything, to stop the car from rattling besides dynomat? I really don't want to put that stuff in my car if I can help it...

cheebs Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 you could try a thicker deaden-er but only on the longer flat parts of the panel. it would cut down on how much you would have to use. you don't really need to do corners.

Like to seal off a wall? 1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. Box is 3.5cu tuned at 31.8hz sealed off from the trunk. 14sqft of Dynamat on the Rear deck top & bottom. Soon to be more for doors/roof. Gets low & loud Did a 140.5 Sealed at Battle of the boom in June 2013 dropping to 12.7v (need a alt mines going bad)
Pierre-luc Gagnon Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 If u decide to use this stuff Dont buy the home depot stuff they sell that looks like this We used the home depot stuff once in a dedicated theater room with 2 18 that was beign fed 8000rms and the strips compressed and became useless we had to tear down and re do! that room was flat to 12 hz we ripped the doors off the hinges lol epic day that was idlew1ld the French Frog !
