Perhaps someone here could help me It went something like SUVs have no limit on tint for the rear windows. And my car is registered as and SUV. Since I'm going to be getting some 5% for the rear windows, I would like to print out a copy of said law and keep it in my glove box just in case I get harassed for it. I'm in Washington. If they allow any tint on rear windows, it's any tint on rear windows no matter the vehicle. If it's 20%, 20%. Not 20% for cars, anything for SUV, etc. Lol. But I've noticed that too snow, laws are actually hard to find. I wanted to find colorado tail light laws, as I have my tail lights tinted. Found that they have to be at eye level but couldn't find anything for how far away they have to be visible. Looked somewhere else and found it. 500 FT or somethin like that. Sheena = pedobear
neuspeedescort Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 washington goes like this..... windows to the rear can be as dark as you want. even spray painted. drivers and passenger front windows can't be darker then 35%. tint banners can't be lower then like 4.5" or some certain % depending on window size. mirror tint and other colors are not allowed. this is the short of it. here is the RCW http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=46.37.430 i have been pulled over for my tint a few times. there is ways around the law. trust me!
