porksoda Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 I tried to hook up my new Sundown SA8v2 today but had amplifier problems... I have 3 amplifiers(problems): Memphis 16-ST1500d (the gain screw just keeps spinning, causing the power and protect lights to blink) Profile California AP1200 (had random sound output, I did notice the red accent light on the top of the amp would blink randomly) RE Audio XT1600.2v3(The amp kept popping its fuses for some reason). On the Profile and RE amps I pulled the back panels off to see if there were any burned spots but I saw nothing that looked out of the ordinary. Also I pulled off the back of the Memphis amp to see if maybe something came off to cause the gain screw to keep spinning, but I couldnt see anything. Do you guys think any of them could possibly be easy fixes? Thanks for all the help in advance! Here are some pictures I took of them. porksoda Posted September 25, 2012 Author Report Posted September 25, 2012 Do you all think it would be worth fixing any of these. I was told it would cost $100 to fix the Memphis amp. I did not get a quote for the other 2. Smoove Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 The Profile is junk in my opinion and not impressed with Memphis. So out of the 3 I would fix the RE. Depending on your budget, stuff pops up here on great sales all of the time. 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
