soundsystemaniac Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 No step down needed. i ran this as its own system. batts ground to alt mount or housing. nothing gets mixed with the 12v side at all. i had the alt on a switch in the dash to turn it on. completly simple setup and works perfect. so i can use this for a 12v system right? No he means this was run in a closed system. Starter batt and stock alt for the cars systems then the 16v alt and 16v battery bank on a separate loop.
