SoundFreakk
thank you! alright on to the next update, i want to able to power up all my psu's at once so i hit up toolmaker to make me a lil mirrored plexi piece with mmd frosted out so you won't be able to look through it but light does come through it. so when turned on there will shine a blue light from behind the button. first of I had to cut out the button. first i drilled corners in every corner so i could fit in the jig saw. next thing I did was line up a piece of scrap would so i would be straight with the jig saw. After that it needed a lil sanding so the piece could go move smoothly. next thing was to saw out another piece of wood that would have the actuall buttons in there. to make this happen i finally used my new drill bit set that i have had for a couple of months but never used yet lol. on to the build pics again as you can see the buttons are in there already, the dowels will be touching the mirrored plexi piece so when you press it it will press the buttons. after testing the piece i noticed the plexi bent a lil when i tryed to press it, thats why i desided to make an additional piece of mdf behind it first saw out the piece where the mmd is, then i drilled the holes for the dowels and glued them in place after that I put the plexi piece in again and glued it onto the additional piece of mdf that gave made it more solid fixing the whole bend issue. SoundFreakk
thank you redneck. lol thank god scott! ok next update, first i installed a switch that wil control the sub amp seperatly, because mom and dad asked for this. next thing I'm doing is making a lil gutter in the mdf to lay the wires in it differce per shelf because some devices take more wires then the others do. in the end i'll cover the gutters up so they will be barrely noticable. next of was soldering the leds and get them behind the big button. and now the last thing on the front is getting the sub gain button in. first I sawed out the shape. almost a perfect fit next up was taping covering the front and get some body filler on the piece to make it seamless also got some techflex in for the 1/0 SHCA wire i have.
