Bump4life Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 what do you want to know. engineering gets batter so the motor is improved. now you have people who use these and claim the "f" motor was the best motor ever made. the main difference between older ones and newer ones is the option of supercharging which is where a neo magnet is added on pole piece to make woofer more efficient and accurate. and improved cooling on newer ones. the cooling is improved on the new "i" series. and the super charging is available on later g motors h motors and i motors. ALPINE408 Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 everytime yhey change the motorfor a new year they change the letter to know what motor you have and what year it was made Have you ever had your woofers blown?

I thought the supercharge option was where they added a shorting ring made out of aluminum and smaller gap or something to focus more magnetic energy into the gap? I don't put images in my signature to let people know I mean business.
certifiednut Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 no, supercharging is an actual neo magnet ring screwed down, where as a shorting ring has no magnetic properties of its own to speak of. these orphans aren't going to feast on themselves
Bump4life Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 read this if you want info on supercharging. i made this a while back. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/133153-dd-supercharged-motors/ Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
