I'm glad I went and tested them because I was set on a glock, the M&P felt much more comfortable and I liked the way it handled more than the glock.

If i may make another suggestion, Try to buy used if you can. It's your first handgun, you are going to shoot the ever living shit out of it, and in a year or less you are going to end up trading it for something else. Ask me how i know haha. Got my permit when i was 21 im 36 now and have bought and traded at least twice per year.

I would be in trouble if i did that. I get tired of stuff. Once i have shot it a few thousand times they seem to lose the appeal. So i trade it and buy another. The only ones I wont ever trade are my 1911 and my stainless Beretta 92fs. Other than those I get a few new every year.
