Great car. I had a 98 of the same car and loved it. I didnt get it with the supercharger though but it still worked excellent other than the rear fender that leaked from the accident it was in before i bought the car. Only one problem you may be facing with the olds 88 would be that the rear deck loves to rattle really bad and sometimes the 6x9 mounting plates that sit back there come loose from their brackets and the cover for the c pillars rattle near the bottom. Other than that its a great car and served me well before i bought my Envoy.

For your dash piece are you talking about the volume knob? I believe i still have the wire harness adapter to convert it from the stock hu to an aftermarket headunit if you would like it for free ill send it to you since i have no use for it anymore. All you would need to make an aftermarket radio work in this car would be to get a dash kit for it that will either make it single or double din and get an antenna adapter since the OEM one is a lot smaller than the connectors on the aftermarket radios.

Whats wrong with your dash panel? It looks fine except for the cigarette tray but that is probably not in the tracks. When i bought my 88 i had to take the cigg tray out and hard wire in the second cigarette outlet for it since they disconnected the harness for it and then i put the tray in the slots for it and it fit perfectly. Just be careful when you pull the tray out. If you pull it out slowly you will notice that there are little stoppers toward the back of the actual tray that you have to bend in slightly to make the tray release and come all the way out for you to disconnect the wires going to the cigarette outlets.
