Kyblack76
Are you going to flash it with a different firmware (dd-wrt, tomato, etc.) or just keep the official firmware? Some routers aren't compatible with those. I learned my lesson with my Netgear N600 v2 (I don't remember the model number, but the v1 is compatible) Um....yeah.. I dont know what your saying... I found a router that i like. Will pick it up tomorrow. Then i hope my friend SHEENA will open the proper ports, and lock it down nut tight, security wise. And thats that. Sorry bro, but, i dont know what your saying/asking. ?? ?? EDIT - @ SHEENA - am i going to do what he said????.... beaker
Sorry, havent been able to check until now. I actually like the linksys for ease of installation, I personally got a referbished netgear that broacasts both 5GHZ N and 2.6ghz and I get better signal on it than the linksys. Keep in mind that 5ghz is faster in line of sight, but has a harder time going through walls. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122334&Tpk=WNR3500L Good thing about that is it also has a USB, so you can hook up an external hard drive and use it for UPNP streaming for your PS3

beaker
I've had my current netgear up and running with over 10 clients connected all the time with almost no issues. I will agree for the most part netgear sucks, but I've had nothing but good experiances with their wireless gear.
n1ghtsn1p3r
I've had no issues with my new Linksys router (N750) so far, other than having to run it in WPA mode instead of WPA2, since my wireless drivers on my Windows 8 rig don't seem to like WPA2 very well (yet anyway, since they haven't updated the drivers for it). As soon as I used my other PC to set it to WPA, my Win8 rig was able to work just fine. I've been having hell with my Netgear N600, though. I'd have to reset it numerous times a day, wouldn't load the config pages even if I hardwired into it, kept dropping signal (not sure why), and the WAN port has randomly gone down and wouldn't come up. I did like the fact that it was secure right out of the box, though I'll admit that I'm a bit biased towards Cisco/Linksys since I went through their CCNA program. 2016 Ford Focus SE No build log yetDC Audio 1.2K2x DC Audio Level 2 10"

garrett30
i have been running a cisco linksys e1500 and i hae had no problem with it. Always connects computers and devices. the setup is pretty simple. good bang for your buck, i think i paid like $80 for it. runs 300bps transfer speed, 4 100mbps ethernet ports, speed boost, and wpa/wpa2.
