When you apply the aluminum foil, how wrinkle free does it have to be?

well just think. when u pull the mold off, its going to look exactly like the foil. you want it to be as smooth as possible if you can.

When you made the fiberglass replica of your fender, won't it be slightly larger since you used the existing fender and built up the glass ontop of it?

well it dont Have to be wrinkle free ...but the back of my finished part will only be as purdy as the foil layup.....and i want it to fit to the sheetmetal fender....like a glove so....i make sure that shits as smooth as i can..

Yes the new fender will be slightly larger.....its inside width is..........a cunt hair wider than the stock fender...meaning...its not gonna bind on the doors when it pivots forward...

once Abby got most of the foil off......i started trimming up the part

then placed it back over the stock fender for a test fit..

I didnt mold in the fender vents completely...........YET.....because it would have made it a real bitch to pull the fender off after it cured
