BassMunky
I was gonna add a rectifier diode to my sense wire and was wondering if it ok to do that? It would raire the volts from 13.6 to 14.3 with one diode only. Let me know asap. I seen other people do it on the net, but wasnt to sure if it would kill the alt faster? here the diode i will be adding. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049728 Shakin not Stirred....my buildhttp://www.stevemead...ngle-cab-build/412 CVX And put a sealed enclosure in your trunk cut a hole in your deck and call it ported

Tarball
There is always a certain risk in modifying your electrical system and the risk is yours to take. Most I am aware of use either a 6a or 10a diode. Not sure if the 1a diode with present issues or not. With that said, I am running 4 6a diodes for a cold voltage of 16.8 (Chevy s10). My fear is that i added one diode which jumped the charging HOT to 14.3 now and was thinking of adding another diode. I read somewhere that if it charges more than 15 volts hot the agm batteries will start out gassing and kill the battery or worse cause the battery to swell and explode. I have a diehard platinum and was wondering if it will be ok to add another diode? It will be 15. 0 hot and 15.7 cold sooo is that ok or noo?
