jeffrm
my question is if I have 4 OA 15s on a RD 3250, which is roughly 750Watts per sub. OA recommends up to 3.75cuft each. How close could I get to that size without the box being too big. As in too much power for the box size. I know that its more power smaller box and vise versa. Could I make it close to 15cuft net and be good or should I back away from 15cuft. My box now is 13.57cuft net with a 35hz tuning, and im looking at going a little more cuft and tuning between 30-32hz. 03 tahoe z71 4 death penalty 18s 2 ampere audio 3800s @ .5 each 18v 156.7 @ 35hz 158.5 @ 50hz

REVOofRustler
Any reason why you want to build box as close to it's maximum size as possible? I'd recommend going for a box size around the middle of what OA recommends. However, I dont have any experience with these woofers, so I cant really give you a straight answer. 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 club cab - Sold 2004 Audi S4 Avant - Fi and Crescendo - Stock Bose System - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147725-2002-dodge-dakota-end-of-the-road/?hl=%202002%20%20dakota 136.4 Sealed @ 29hz 137.0 Drivers window open @ 26hz
jeffrm
I just figure the bigger the box and lower the tuning, more possibility of it doing hair tricks and getting low. 03 tahoe z71 4 death penalty 18s 2 ampere audio 3800s @ .5 each 18v 156.7 @ 35hz 158.5 @ 50hz
Real96SS
Honestly I dont think its a set factor for hairtricks except alot of cone area and alot of power or one or the other. Either way its all about port velocity. If you have a program you can plot out your port velociy with then that would probably be a good place to start. BassBox Pro I know has that option also.
