Bigger Box Or Smaller Box Spl Wise

ok a couple of u may know that im gonna get a nice build goin for 2 Fi Bl 15's

ok i have a box design from amatt that is 8 cubes after port displacement 9.686 b4. im wonderin if that will hurt the score any.

basically im askin what size would be best for both spl and sq.

You need a couple more rebuilds in there. And we can't forget the boxes you mess up on.

but if you are using it as a daily driver too....

straight from fi's website, i think this answers the questions about best for spl/sq without hurting ur score

BL 12 – Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 30-37Hz (I personally think that a 32hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving).

BL 15 – Ported box we recommend using 2.8-4 cubic feet @ 28-37Hz.

BL 18 – Ported box we recommend using 5-10 cubic feet @ 30-37Hz tuning, you can tune a little higher if you wish but we recommend keeping it close to 32hz for a daily driver.

so the bl 15 doesnt have recommended tuning but it can be tuned 2 hz lower so 31-32hz is going to have the most output/musicality, and bigger the box to 4cubes the better

i cant imagine ur going to gain going smaller than 4cubes

let me put it this way, i have my 15q in a 3.6cuft, and i wish i had the cabin space to do 4cuft
