Jeep Cherokee Big 3 Upgrade

So I have a nice little system upgrade coming up soon, going from 180 RMS to 600-1000 RMS, haven't decided yet because I'm still in the planning process but anyways I want to do the big 3 upgrade on my 1993 Jeep Cherokee, but my stock power cable goes straight to my fuse box in the engine bay then to my battery. My question is whether or not if I can just keep the factory wiring but add a 1/0 cable going straight from the alt to my battery. Any help is appreciated

The big 3 upgrades ive done (just 2, one on my acura tsx, and nissan titan) i just kept the stock wiring, and added the 1/0.

The only struggle was adding the eyelet to the the alt with a second one. Room there was tuff.

I do know on Tony C's vid's he has on his big 3 kits, it is suggested, that if you dont know where cable terminate, to LEAVE them, and just add the additional.

Thanks that did help me out a lot, I may have to spend quite a bit of time on connecting the batt to the alt because it is at the bottom of the engine bay in the worst position possible but it'll be worth it

Yes it will.

Trust me,. i owned a 01 Jeep Cheer, with the straight 6. Owned if for 9 years. Loved it, and i put a 1/0 kit in a ACURA TSX bro,.... and a SINGER alt.

Trust me, i would have given a kidney to have the room and such i had with the JEEP. My hands hurt with my back, for a week after that one. And im a industrial tech. LOL.

Just take your time,... and do it right. You will see benifit. Good luck, and post pics. Later bro.

My Jeep has been in the family since 1994 and its still going strong with almost 180,000 miles on it! Damn I heard those TSX engine bays get pretty cramped, sounds like a tough job but worth it though. But yeah I know to take my time on this one and make sure it gets done right, should have a build log coming up soon when I get things rolling. Thanks again man
