which one? need some advice on a another car

well soon im gonna get rid of my saturn. im looking for something to play with. i can't get any sport cars or ones that look sporty due to car insurance for me being under 21. im gonna say maybe 2500-3k heres what i looked at a jeep grand cherokee (i have no clue what year is the best)

honda civics(alot aftermarket stuff). what other cars or suvs would be great to play with in that price range?

prices range from state to state also you just have to go looking for a good deal you may find a car someone else has paid 5000 for in the past but you get it for 3 when people need money they sell cheaper just look on cs list till you find somethin or check local lots

I am, but I was wondering what you guys would think are good vehicles, I see them cheaper then what the budget is

The dodge stratus is what I have. The 2.7L engine is one to stay away from. It will fail due to the seal around the water pump, (the water pump is internal). Iirc the '04 + models that have the 2.7L have better seals,water pumps, and lighter timing chains, which what were bad on the <'04 models. Mine is a '01 and 130k and have not had to replace any of those listed. Yet. If you decide to look at any, pull the dipstick and make sure there is no milky looking stuff on the dipstick. Also, open the oil fill and see if there is any crap on the surface of what you can inside, generally after the car has ran for a bit. Obviously listen for any knocking while its running.

Overall it is a solid car with minimal other issues.

Has a fairly big trunk imo. 15H x 39W x 32D

Since it is a sedan, it's better on insurance.

It gets pretty good mpg. 23 city/32 highway

Depending on year/miles they are around 3k

The only thing that is a biotch and I hate about it is that the battery is located in front of the front left tire. (Inside of the bumper)
