I am in the process of purchasing 2 Obsidian Audio 15s and Im having trouble on deciding on an amp to push a 15 and I do not want to go larger then 4 Gauge for the power and ground wire. So if you have any great reccomendation on amplifiers and I dont plan on spending a fortune on the amplifiers.

Thanks

4 death penalty 18s

2 ampere audio 3800s @ .5 each

18v

156.7 @ 35hz

158.5 @ 50hz

Audioque 1200d would push them great, does more then 1200rms, I have one and love it

Hifonics brz 1700.1 will be good if you want something a little cheaper.

Mp quart onyx 1500.1 I heard does close to rated

I have two Obsidian 15's, they laugh at my SAE1200D, and it's more like an underrated 1500 watt amp.

I had them in 7.5cubes, too.

Before I built the box for the two, I had one of them in my roommates 7.5cu.ft. home theater box. It was wired to 2 ohms (Manufacturer rates it at 600WRMS at 2Ohms), and even though it looked to be reaching XMAX, it didn't complain at all.

you wont get into blowing territory unless you start running past like 1k a piece
