Radio works in accessory but not in run?

I just put a new kenwood radio in my girlfriends 2004 Pontiac sunfire to replace her other kenwood radio that was about 3 years old. I used the old kenwood harness, the only difference between the two was that the new one had two pins the old one didn't have which was a brown "mute" wire and blue with white stripe "p constant". The reason we replaced the radio is because every so often the old radio would go out and you would have to cycle the key for it to come back on. This car also requires the aftermarket door chime integration module, is it possible that could be causing the problems?

I just did an install in my brother-in-laws pontiac aztek.... pain in the ass... only place i could find a legit wiring schematic was from crutchfield knowledge base that actualy had pin diagrams, proper colors that actually matched was in the vehicle. Let me do a quick search for you.....

Without monsoon system:

Use these to check your wiring against how the harness is hooked up and and double check the wiring from the radio harness, see if anything is out of whack. We unhooked the speaker in the door chime kit in the Aztek, everything still works fine without the annoying chiming.

If this doesn't help, tell us how you have it wired and troubleshoot more from there.
