CstrokerV
i have 6 dc lvl3 12s ..... they are going to be wired to 1.5 ohms.. and due to miscalculations ... the box is 10.7 cubes tuned to 30HZ , yes already built... my amp is rated at 2400rms at 1 ohm so anyways do you think this box is to big even with me under powering them... or should i figure away to take up another cube or so of air space thanks for your time Kevin Quote my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
skyhighcaraudio
m2s or m1s? if m1s its way to big also if that 10.7 net or gross? thats only 1.8 per sub if thats gross so thats not too far off 1.5 (spec) if m2s then (if i were building it) i would have built it bigger because you are running well under rms ratings, plus once you get all that rise you amp will be putting out alot less than 2400 rms. CstrokerV
its m1 motors but m2 recones... 10.7 after all displacement... the box was suppose to be 9 at 32hz and i was going to eventually push 4600 rms to them but like i said miscalculations so come spring another rebuild.. just making sure i dont do anything to them until then.. Pro7
You could put something in the box to reduce the volume of it. That's probably what I would do as long as it doesn't screw with your tuning too much but it will lower tuning so I wouldn't be too worried about it Quote I've gotten a blowjob and picked up my iphone behind her back to see what email notification I got from smd before
CJ18
I think you are fine. What ohm are the subs? I am going to assume D4, if so that puts you at 1.33ohm at the amp. After rise, you probably are no where near 1.33. You shouldnt have any problems.

You shouldnt have any problems. the're dual 2 i have 2 sets of 3 each subs coil is paralleled to 1 ohm each then each sub is series to 3 ohms then the 2 sets are in paralleled so 1.5 ohms final load yeah sooner or later ill have another of the amp i have strapped.... but probably not until i rebuild again lol And i know dual 2 was not ideal for 6 but not getting into that Quote my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
CJ18
That is a pain in the ass to wire. If your electrical and amp can handle it, I would wire 2 sets of 2 subs to 1.33 each and then parallel down to .
CstrokerV
lol already have it wired that way just no subs hooked to it and yes it was a pain i had to stop like 3 times to make sure i had it right lol at the moment my electrical isnt good enough for that because i was thinking about doing that... plus if i upgrade my electrical and get another amp to strap before i rebuild then ill have to do it anyways but thanks for your time That is a pain in the ass to wire. CJ18
No problem. Even if you were to get a second amp, you would still be at either 1.33 per amp or .67 per amp. I think you will be just fine at 1.78ft3 per sub.
CstrokerV
alright thanks.... No problem. Even if you were to get a second amp, you would still be at either 1.33 per amp or .67 per amp. I think you will be just fine at 1.78ft3 per sub. to clearify this even at 4600rms if amp does rated you think the 1.78ft per is still fine?
