cmw5e
since i have a single cab truck , i wanted to build a box that still gives me plenty of leg room. for right now im going with 1 10 and hopefully upgrading later. the box is 1.1 cu ft with a 4" circular port at 33 hz. i have about 6.5 to 7 inches of mounting depth. i was thinking about the sundown sd-2 because of the small mounting depth or the alpine type r because each of the subs will work with the size box i have. the amp is a precision power bki 1300.1. if anyone has some suggestions it'd be great. also budget no more than
BobbyG2
I vote Sundown SA 10, mounting depth is 6", will take the power better than the other two, and will work in that airspace. (1.0-1.25 ft^3 @ 35hz) *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
cmw5e
sorry , thats after adding in port displacement and sub displacement. before displacement the box is around 1.35 to 1.4 cu ft
cmw5e
thats what i originally wanted but didnt want to have to squeeze it in and it calls for a slightly bigger box. only reason i thought about the sd-2 is because of the 4. whatever mounting depth
BobbyG2
Should do fine with .5-1" if vent clearance, and that's right in the middle of the suggested airspace. I'd vote SD-2 over Type R though, if you wanted to "play it safe". *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
cmw5e
if that much clearance is fine id love to try out the sa. like i said i didnt know how much room you needed between sub and back wall with it , didnt want ti getting smothered lol
BobbyG2
.5" is pushing it, but 1" is fine *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
